Being in the PR industry and having worked as a PR business owner both past and present, it was a no-brainer for me to want to get my hands on a copy of Roxy’s newest book. I knew that it would be great, but it was better than great, it was truly awesome and exceeded expectations. Like everything that Roxy does, she has produced a high-quality book of tips and tricks that is bound to be a best-seller.

This 5-star read consists of five chapters, covering: Career, Business, PR, Social Media and Life. I thoroughly enjoyed each chapter, but my faves were number three and four. After heading back to study after 13 years, I loved learning the ins and outs of social media marketing and measurement. One thing that you can’t learn though, is a natural ability to have a “can-do” attitude, which will set you aside from your competitors. Being creative is a talent sure, but surrounding yourself with like-minded people is what will drive your success. As Roxy states in her book, she doesn’t think, “she does”.

I absolutely loved the back “notes” section. So be sure to have your pen at the ready ladies and gents, there are so many takeaways from this read. If you are a business owner, Mumprenear, student, or PR expert who needs a “go-to” resource, then this book simply has it all. Affordably priced, you might like to stock up on them for your friends and family members too! Retailing for $16.99, it will seriously be the best money that you have spent all year.

With Roxy continually setting the bar higher and higher, and not just in the fashion stakes (love her wardrobe!), I look forward to seeing what Roxy has in store for 2019. Congratulations on an amazing read and thank you for sharing your insights with us all. I know that I won’t be the only one to takeaway what I have from reading, Roxy’s Little Black Book of Tips & Tricks.

“Memories become more precious with time…”

In the past, we have had many photo hiccups, from failing hard-drives, through to water on the laptop, iPad breakdowns, lost SD cards when they have been “safely” put in a little box to avoid being damaged and lost, when in fact, of course the opposite happens and they accidentally and painstakingly still get thrown out, with no back-up! Heart sinking and stomach churning insert “here”! Ugh, I sure have had my fair incidents with precious memories and moments being lost. I think that one of the worst was our European holiday which I accidentally moved the folder to the recycle bin and it didn’t restore, they were also the photos we believe where on the forever lost SD card. I think the universe just wants us to go back to visit Paris and Italy now that we are a family of four, what do you think? Lol. I’m a big believe that things always – happen for a reason!

So, despite a few years and precious moments and memories being missing on our now family PC, I have scoured my emails and blog posts from previous guest blogger opportunities to savour these precious memories to share. I am a big photo-addict. Self-confessed, through and through. I wasn’t always. On schoolies, I remember being so scared of breaking my camera that I think I took one or two photos. (probably for the best there! haha 😉 But now that we are a family and creating special memories, every day, I see the value of photos more than ever. They really do, without a doubt, get more precious with age. So here, I will continue to document, our life as, The Tickner family. But this little blog post beauty, is all about the past. I’ve been with my husband for 12 years in August of 2019 and we have know each other longer than that. Married for 7 years next year too, gulp!? Where does the time go. I really don’t know. I know that this Christmas, I hope to take out my trusty camera, (with my SD card holder for good safety back-up measure) and make some awesome new memories on our road trip to the farm! I hope to sneak some blog posts in along the way, so be sure to follow our journey. Next year, if luck is on our side, we might just have some more road trips. That’s the goal, for now anyway!

We are all busily trying to get our last minute gift ideas for our family and friends and with so many options out there, I know for me, when purchasing for my family members and friends’ little ones, I always do try and think of something that they will use and appreciate! The Perfect Stocking Filler Suggestion for You!

So, what do you look at getting someone who simply might have it all? But wants to enjoy some Christmas magic? An Instant Scratch-Its ticket of course! Who loves the excitement of receiving scratchies? I know that I did.

In my adult life, my parents would always surprise us with some stocking filler scratchies! I know that throughout the year, our family member birthdays usually always have an Instant Scratch-Its ticket inside the thoughtfully picked-out card, so Christmas shouldn’t be an exception should it?!

This year, I know that I will be giving out some Christmas Cheer designed scratchies. They look amazing and I just know that the adults in our family will love them. I have a beautiful memory of shortly after turning 18 and my grandparents visiting Australia over the festive season and I was so very lucky to have won $20 when we were on the Gold Coast. Ollie Enjoying his Fave Food – Without a Doubt, It’s Yogurt! Yumo, as Ollie Would Say!

I totally think that Ollie has always been a big dairy kid lover. I think that it’s always, “yogurt”, “cheese”, and “ice-cream” that are his top-three fave foods of all time. Oh, and don’t forget Vegemite sandwiches, we just can’t go wrong with them either! 🙂

When it comes to him getting his daily calcium intake, I love him enjoying the Yoplait, Petit Miam range. His fave flavour is most definitely “strawberry”, but when he isn’t enjoying his strawberry fave, he is loving all of the other flavours:- Blueberry, Banana (an equal front-runner, or definitely close second!), vanilla, fruit salad, mango and not to forget the apple and blackcurrant, which is also quite a fave for his little brother!

I love how convenient the pouches are too. Perfect for home and travel. We stock up on our yogurt supplies for the kids from our local Woolworths store, but, they are available at all major supermarket retailers.

I know with our road trip coming up, we’ll be sure to have these as a “go-to” snack in our little car esky and will be sure to stock up the fridge at our Christmas family farm destination down south!
