When it comes to clothing brands, you simply can’t go past Australian companies, which are eco-ethical. BJ’s PJ’s and Loungewear are an Australian success story and owned, made and designed by Belinda Jane, right here in Oz.

Belinda who is known to her loved ones as BJ, set out to create pyjamas and loungewear that would make a difference. Belinda found a gap in the market and has not looked back since.

This year alone, despite such an unprecedented 2020, BJ’s PJ’s has collaborated with the 2020 Australian Women of the Year Awards, won Women with Altitude’s Best Eco-Ethical Women’s Loungewear Brand of 2020, the AusMumpreneur Fashion Business Excellence Award 2020 and the international Parent and Baby Award for Best Eco-Ethical Women’s Loungewear Brand for 2020.

Belinda shares, “I’m extremely passionate about ethical and sustainable, skin-friendly, Australian-made products and I’ve worked in the fashion industry for many years. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find anything that ticked all of the boxes for me, so that’s when I set out to create something special.

“With very few high-quality, ethically made, cotton loungewear, leisurewear or pyjamas available, I decided to design some myself and BJ’s PJ’s and Loungewear was born!”

The range of dresses, tops and bottoms for women (and now men also) are made from premium organic fabrics with no harmful chemicals, dyes, or toxins.

   
“Longevity and quality is at the forefront of all design, so that you can wear these comfortable and conscious pieces for many years without fading, and modern styles that will also last,” she says.

Founder, Belinda Jane says she wants women to feel more confident in their pyjamas and leisurewear, by offering classic designs without bulk, buttons, bows or collars and all in classy colours that are timeless.

   
Belinda adds, “Regardless of your shape and size, you can experience the freedom of movement and for the women, our designs have built-in breast support to keep the girls firmly in place with styles, that although simple, are super flattering and fun to wear.”

“I personally despise underwires, especially when I’m lounging around. I wanted to create products that are not only comfortable, but that they also create and provide support, discretion, and confidence. I personally feel much more confident without the bounce! Now I can be underwire free, comfortable and confident in front of my family, and friends, whether that be during sleepovers, travelling, or even in front of the postie at the door!”

   
Having been sent some samples to see the wonderful quality, I can most certainly vouch for the quality being second to none. From the moment I unpacked the beautiful pieces, it was evident to me the wonderful quality they are made from. The fact that they are sustainably produced and eco-friendly, with no nasties, is an absolute must and ticking all the boxes for me!
